Play with friends, family or other Word Linkers!
Everyone plays from the ease of their own phone. Word Links can be played live at parties in under 30 minutes or remotely over the course of days and weeks with faraway friends and family. To win, you’ll need to be able to think outside the box to try and correlate your opposing team’s clues and also come up with extremely witty clues of your own
Decipher & Give clues
Players are divided into two teams and randomly assigned 4 words known as their key words
Pass clues to your teammates
Each round the clue giver comes up with original clues to describe their key words for that round. If the clues are too obvious, the other team will crack the code. But be sure not to stump your own teammates!
Figure out how to link the clues
All the guessers must decipher the clues passed to them by the clue giver, and then try and decode the other teams clues by finding similarities with clues passed in previous rounds
How to Play each round
Each clue giver is shown 3 of their 4 own team’s keywords in random order
Act as the clue guesser
The rest of the players from each team act as the clue guessers and are shown the clue givers 3 clues
Receive opponents’ clues
All players receive opponents' 3 clue words and all opponents “clue groupings” from previous rounds
Write your clues
Each clue giver writes down 1 clue for each of the 3 words they’ve been shown
Link to keywords
Players must then link those clues to one of the 4 keywords that they think best matches the clue
Link all clues
Each player then attempts to link each clue word to the correct clue grouping.
